I’ve never liked philosophy. Okay so, I have admired people like Socrates, Marcus Aurelius, Plato, etc. at one time or the other, but really, philosophy as a course of study? Man, in school, it used to give me headache. As someone once tongue in cheek said, philosophy is the only subject that throws out more questions than it answers (my apologies to any philosophy majors out there).
But on the real, can we really do without philosophy? Na, not really. Not really since it’s in man’s nature to ask questions about life and the nature of it. The true value of Philosophy-the general type anyway, is that it helps us conceptualize ideas about life and through that understand the way certain things work. The red pill genre is no exception.
Recently, I came across the Red Pill Philosophy indirectly through the book “Red Pill Orgasm” by HalfBreed, and for once I was glad to see that after getting the gist of it, I was not left holding my head and looking for an aspirin. Rather Sex pills for men I found myself eagerly looking forward to practicalizing some of its dictates. Well in so far as it relates to sex anyway. So what is it all about? I’ve given you one clue already but I’m feeling generous- here’s another; “Matrix”.
Yes, you see the term is a throwback to a scene from that film. In that scene Neo the main character, is offered two pills. The blue pill means falling back asleep, accepting lies while the Red Pill means waking up to the truth. Alright good. So whats that got to do with anything?
For that, let’s go back to HalfBreed. HalfBreed’s “Red Pill Orgasm” is a book written about why it’s not only important to give your woman orgasms, how you can actually achieve this regularly but also why contrary to gender equality leanings, you must be the dominant partner as a prelude to achieving this. In the process, it quietly demolishes the standard myths (the blue pill) about gender equality.
According to the author, “… taking the Red Pill means understanding the truth about gender dynamics, women, and feminism in the West. A man digests the Red Pill when he begins using that knowledge to improve his relationships with females”. Interesting. But to be specific, what are the myths?
Treat your woman like an equal, let her have her way, pander to her every whims and caprice. Prioritize the romance approach; cherry scented candles and champagne bubble baths; yada, yada, yada. Not that you can’t incorporate aspects of this heads. Sure you can, but just so long you both know who is boss-You.
How to do this? HalfBreed advocates things like; Never let her control you, Say no to her often, Push back against her wishes, Don’t overly focus on making her happy, Decide for her, Tell her what to do, tell her to shut up, laugh at her, make love to her well, ignore her for extended periods of time. These are all ways of gaining dominance over her. And yet, yet, true to form, while I am all for making love to my girl well (not that I’m doing a bad job of it at the moment), I’m not sure that in my present relationship I’d long get away with all of the things mentioned here.
I think a lot of it has to do with respect. If you have been able to cultivate a woman’s respect, she’ll naturally defer to you and your directives. Where you are not worthy of respect, you may just be stoking up the flame by attempting to deflate her ego in order to boost yours. Maybe that’s the reason HalfBreed also includes the need for you to make more money than her. Yes, and that brings us to another myth. The myth that says she earning more money than you doesn’t matter. Of course it matters.
The more independent she is of you, the harder it will be for you to maintain headship of your home. There might well be other ways of maintaining that position, but there’s no denying that her being financially independent of you will work against rather than for you. On the physical plane, the book Red Pill Orgasm is replete with techniques you can use to assist your partner attain orgasm, and you last longer in bed. Interestingly its approach is a synergistic blend of tantric methods and modern science. The shocking thing though is that he successfully pulls it off. As such, even though it is the puerile that stands to gain most from the book, the experienced stud too may just surprise himself by learning a thing or two.
What interests me here though is extending the whole red pill philosophy to other areas of life. Politics is a ripe field for this. It is also potentially explosive.
Just think about expressing what you really feel about race relations or same-sex partnerships. What about religion? Looking at it scientifically (and mind you I’m just talking), what is the logical basis for believing that the God of the universe incarnated in the image of man and had to die in order to bring man back to himself, or on the flipside that he takes any pleasure in murder committed in his name.
What about some of the holiness band; corrupt or perverted “men of God” with congregations who nevertheless fail to see the light, remaining the staunchest supporters of these, even while they themselves live in abject poverty. Red pill. Yes, just imagine, all of these peoples taking that red pill and waking up to reality, whether that reality turns out to be what they had thought or not. Red Pill philosophy. Yeah, the results would be interesting.
But really, having looked at it, I think it’s not that the concept is new. No, it probably has been with us under various nuances since the dawn of time and man’s earliest consolidations in city states; Ala speaking one’s mind, being frank, etc. The only difference is that in the world and the type of society we live in today, for the sake of peace and quiet, it is just better to be politically correct and follow the path of tolerance and yes sometimes willful blindness.
